Dubai National Air Travel Agency (Arabic: دناتا), commonly known as dnata, is an Emirati airport services provider offering aircraft ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering services across five continents. It is one of the largest and most established air services companies in the world.

History

dnata was founded in 1959 in Dubai with just five employees. The company’s name is derived from the acronym Dubai National Air Travel Agency. dnata began its international expansion in 1993 and has since grown rapidly into a global aviation services leader.

In 2008, dnata acquired a 23% stake in Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) and a 49% share in global outsourcing company Mind Pearl.
In 2010, dnata expanded further by acquiring Alpha Flight Limited, increasing its operations to 62 airports across 12 countries.
The following year, dnata opened offices in India, providing air travel, hotel, and visa services for travelers between India and Dubai.

In 2015, dnata acquired RM Ground Services in Brazil, strengthening its international aircraft ground handling, cargo transport, and airline catering operations.
In February 2018, dnata co-founded the Airline Catering Association, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

Position: Baggage Services Agent

Location: Dubai World Central (DWC)

As a Baggage Services Agent, you will be responsible for performing baggage-related operations in line with dnata’s safety and operational standards, ensuring a smooth and high-quality service experience for passengers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example in safety practices, conduct regular safety briefings, and take immediate action when risks are identified
• Organize and oversee shift operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with procedures, service standards, and SLAs
• Brief team members at the start of each shift, assign responsibilities, ensure fair workload distribution, and provide performance feedback
• Ensure outsourced teams understand their roles and responsibilities as per agreed service levels
• Supervise baggage handling activities including arrival, transfer, sortation, and departure operations
• Support operational activities, including manual handling, when required
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and proper functioning of equipment and support systems
• Maintain accurate shift records and escalate operational or safety issues to the Supervisor when necessary

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school certificate or equivalent
• 2–4 years of experience in aviation, ground handling, business administration, or customer service
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness
• UAE driving license or a valid home-country driving license (preferred)
