K-PAK CAREERS: APPLY NOW FOR THE LATEST VACANCIES

Established in 1986, KUWAIT PACKING MATERIALS MFG. CO K.S.C (CLOSED), widely recognized as K-PAK, has played an important role in the development of disposable food packaging across the Middle East. The company entered the market at a time when disposable tableware was still developing in the region and became the first local manufacturer to produce petroleum-based polystyrene products. This early move helped introduce new manufacturing possibilities and laid the foundation for decades of growth.

Over the years, K-PAK has expanded its manufacturing network in response to changing customer requirements and the increasing demand for convenient food packaging. The company’s regional expansion started in 2000 with the opening of a second production facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Operating under the S-PAK name, the facility strengthened K-PAK’s presence within the Saudi market and increased its production capabilities.

Further development followed in 2003 with the establishment of another manufacturing facility in Jeddah. Located in one of Saudi Arabia’s major port cities, the site provided useful access to regional and international markets, supporting the company’s growing business across the Levant and Europe.

In 2007, K-PAK continued its expansion by launching U-PAK Industries in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The facility added to the group’s manufacturing strength while also providing logistical benefits for serving customers across the Gulf region.

The company’s current network includes 10 production and storage facilities throughout the GCC. Around 250 employees support these operations, working alongside modern production systems and manufacturing technologies. This infrastructure enables K-PAK to handle a broad range of packaging requirements and maintain supply capabilities across several markets.

Extensive Product Range

K-PAK has developed a diverse portfolio of disposable food packaging products. The range includes takeaway containers, trays, cups, and disposable tableware designed for different commercial applications. These solutions are used by supermarkets, retailers, bakeries, catering companies, fast-food businesses, and other food-service operations.

Product development has remained an important part of the company’s progress. One notable example is the Vampirella range of absorbent trays, created specifically for meat and poultry applications. The trays can absorb approximately five to eight times their own weight in liquid, helping improve the visual presentation of fresh and frozen meat products while supporting longer shelf life.

The product portfolio has also expanded beyond traditional polystyrene. K-PAK now manufactures rigid plastic packaging using materials such as PET, PP, and HIPS. Customized packaging is another area of the business, with branded boxes, cups, and other solutions produced according to individual customer specifications.

Quality and Environmental Focus

Quality control forms a significant part of K-PAK’s manufacturing approach. Products undergo testing through independent laboratories and are produced to meet the requirements of European Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. The company has also been recognized as an ISO- and Green-certified manufacturer, reflecting an emphasis on standardized production and environmental considerations.

K-Concept

In 2019, K-PAK expanded its commercial activities through the creation of K-Concept, a Dubai-based trading company. The venture was introduced to respond to rising demand for disposable products within the retail and hospitality sectors.

K-Concept focuses particularly on hotels, restaurants, and premium catering businesses, bringing a selection of packaging products together through a convenient trading platform. The concept combines product variety with competitive pricing and access to newer packaging solutions.

Supported by distributors throughout the Middle East, K-PAK continues to strengthen its regional presence. Its combination of manufacturing experience, extensive product choices, technological capabilities, and customized packaging services has established the company as a major food packaging manufacturer in the GCC and wider Middle Eastern market.
